CleanTop® significantly reduces maintenance costs in high-traffic public areas due to its low maintenance requirements. The CleanTop system has proven itself excellently, not only in Germany and other European countries.
METTEN Stein+Design began developing this technology for the surface protection of concrete blocks more than 20 years ago.
Unlike conventional methods of subsequent sealing or impregnation, the CleanTop® system is part of the production process and is therefore integrated into the concrete block. It protects the surface as well as the facing and core concrete. CleanTop® counteracts wear and tear caused by weathering and makes stone surfaces more resistant to aging and more sustainable. Unlike conventional impregnations, no refreshing after-treatment is necessary – CleanTop® provides lasting protection.

In order to visibly demonstrate the low maintenance of a CleanTop surface, we have spread used oil, red wine, coffee, ketchup and mustard on a CleanTop-protected paving stone and on an unprotected paving stone and left it to take effect for several hours. Afterwards the stains were cleaned with soapy water and a brush.
RESULT // slight residue of used oil, otherwise problem-free removal of all stains from the CleanTop-protected paving stone; residues on the unprotected paving stone.
Heavily used and dirty surfaces with CleanTop® protection can be cleaned easily and with minimal effort. With warm water and the appropriate machines, CleanTop® products shine like new again without the use of harmful chemicals. Sustainability in every respect
