Concrete all natural!

We use high-quality natural raw materials in the production of our concrete blocks. This is what you can see. The character of the carefully selected natural stone chippings and colors gives every paving stone and every slab not only a long lifetime, but also a special appearance. Despite standardized production and strict quality controls of the raw materials, there are occasionally minimal deviations in color and form.

Concrete and paint.

We mainly use precious natural stone chippings as well as only high quality, UV-resistant, durable ferric oxide colors. Slight color differences are no indication of reduced quality, but of the naturalness of the used raw materials. Weathering and use provides harmonization of this color differences. On dark surfaces, there may be slight brightening due to the building material.

Concrete and environment.

Weather and use can leave traces that adjust by natural weathering. Because of insufficient air circulation, stains and discoloration may occur beneath garden pottery, floor mats, umbrella stands, foil covers etc. Mostly they are not removable. Stubborn dirt can usually be removed with special stone care products. We recommend prompt cleaning also for CleanTop® protected products. The “patina” that results over the years also refines the product and clarifies that concrete is a natural raw material that is subject to natural processes.

Efflorescence.

These white or light grey spots on the surface of concrete are calcium carbonates. For production reasons they are unavoidable and no reason for complaint. They appear temporary and will disappear under normal weather conditions over time. This process can be accelerated with special stone care products. Exception: Products with CleanTop® CF 100 and CF 120 are free of lime efflorescence when professional processed.

Edge chipping.

In order to avoid edge chipping, lay concrete blocks according to the valid technical guidelines with sufficient joint spacing. Usually, edge chipping is the result of a defective underlayment or the laying. On concrete blocks without chamfer, minor flaking can occur even after installation. “This cannot be avoided and do not represent a product defect” (Notes on the delivery and use of concrete products for road building and horticulture, SLG, June 2012).

Dimension tolerances.

Dimension tolerances do not represent faults or deviations in quality if they are within the usual dimension tolerances. Follow the guideline for planning and installation in accordance with the respective local conditions and building regulations.

Due to printing, raw materials or production technology, the supplied products may differ in terms of coloring and optical effect from the printed or online images and samples in this catalogue. There also may be fluctuations within single parts of delivery. In addition, environmental influences, wear and tear or soiling can change the impression of the surface over time. There is no way to predict or prevent efflorescence neither at the moment of delivery nor later. None of this constitute defects. The products shown in some objects and laying patterns, were laid on so-called "cross joints" (“Kreuzfuge”). This does not correspond to DIN 18318.
